Permission To Film

I contacted Rotherham council via a Social Media Twitter DM. I knew that this would have been the best way to contact them as in their twitter bio it stated "DM to ask any questions or if you have any issues" as soon as I sent the message I had an instant reply granting my permission - it is very important you have permission to film so you don't end up with a law suit on your hands if you are caught. Something as little as not having permission to film could jeopardise your entire production and could lead to a lot of money being wasted. This is relevant to my pre-production because asking for permission/receiving permission is vital to the pre-production process

Its important to have release forms when making any type of media productions has its a legal document to prove that you have this persons permission to be filmed, even if they are just walking past in the background. If you film someone without their permission, you could have  a lawsuit on your hands and could delay you production or completely jeopardise it . Release forms are not only used just to get permission to film, they are also used to gather information on a individuals medical needs,  and contact details if there was any kind of accident while filming.

I have made this mind map of all my ideas so i can develop a story line for my movie, what it going to be about, what genre it fits into and i can think up some idea of a budget, what props i will need and locations i can use. its important to explore my ideas so I can decide what is going to be the easiest movie for me to make. This is VITAL to the pre-production process as to make a movie - i first need an initial idea and then i need to expand on that idea.
